The Award is based on safety statistics required by OSHA. "Receipt of such an award is proof positive of the emphasis these contractors place on providing a safe and healthful workplace,” said Jeff Zogg, Executive Director of the GBC.

The GBC represents nearly 200 general contractors engaged in public and private commercial, industrial, and institutional construction throughout New York State. "The common denominator of our Membership," said Zogg, "is that they possess skill, integrity, and responsibility. A commitment to safety is a strong sign of these qualities." The AGC of America represents over 8000 general contractors nationwide.
